Description
This is an original 1942 United States military bayonet complete with its matching scabbard. Manufactured during World War II, the blade features distinct historical stamps, including U.C. over U.S. with the military flaming bomb symbol and the year 1942 on one side, and PAL-MOD stamped on the reverse. The scabbard throat also displays the U.S. flaming bomb logo.
The bayonet is constructed with a steel blade, metal guard and pommel, and black ribbed plastic handle grips. The accompanying scabbard features an olive drab body with a metal throat.
This item is in Complete condition. It exhibits cosmetic wear consistent with its age and military service, including sharpening and grinding marks along the blade edge, surface scratches, minor rust and patina on the metal parts, and scuffs on the scabbard body. This historic piece is well-suited for WWII militaria collectors, historical displays, or military enthusiasts.
